The Wester Ross Biosphere was created in April 2016 when the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) formally recognised our area of Northern Scotland as a Biosphere Reserve. The Biosphere family is be made up of members be they private individuals or local organisations. Their common aim to promote the development of a sustainable economy and society in Wester Ross.
